The bond between people and their beloved pets cannot be measured. We at Animal Practice of Marion understand this bond, and that the loss of this vital member of your family can be devastating. Our caring and sympathetic staff is dedicated to providing you with quality personalized professional service to help you through this difficult time.
Through cremation, pet parents are able to make the descision to keep their pets with them, or to spread or bury their companions’ cremated remains somewhere that may have held a special meaning. Either way, with cremation, pet parents are able to memorialize their pets.
- Easy in a time of grief.
Pet cremation leaves little or no work for a grief-stricken pet owner. An animal can be brought to our office, picked up from your home, or even at another veterinarian’s office. At that point, the animal is prepared for cremation and ashes of the pet – if they are requested – can be returned in an urn or other container.
Many pet owners prefer to keep the ashes of a beloved animal so they can be displayed prominently somewhere in the home. This provides emotional closure to pet owners who have memorialized their animal and have the pet close to them at all times. Grief counselors say that bereavement issues related to the loss of pets can often be just as difficult to overcome as grief related to the loss of a spouse or other family member. It’s also important to have a specific place to go to occasionally grieve over the loss of your pet. Having an urn with your pet’s ashes means you never have to travel to a cemetery to pay your respects to a beloved pet.
- Communal Cremation: Your pet is cremated with other pets and the ashes are not returned to you.
- Private Cremation: Your pet is cremated by itself. The cremains are collected and returned to you. Velvet dust bag is included.
All cremations are performed on sight, your pet will not leave our premises. Memorial jewelry and decorative urns are available for purchase.
At Animal Practice of Marion, our goal is to provide you with the peace of mind that comes from knowing your final farewell to your beloved pet is filled with the respect and dignity they deserve. We understand that saying goodbye is never easy. Let us help you with this final act of love. You were there for them, now we are here for you in your time of need.
